Beata Rojek – graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Visual artist. She works mainly as painter, draughtsman and animator, but also creates large-format paintings and installations.
At the Centre for Contemporary Art HALLE 14 in Leipzig Rojek realised a multimedia installation – visualisation of a conception of swimming contemporary art exhibition, created by all of the countries of the Mediterranean Region. The artist invited curators, artists, managers of culture as well as organisations and institutions from Wrocław, Poland and Germany, and above all from the region, which was a subject of her research. Results of work of the collective consisting of artists, curators and experts were presented at HALLE 14 as a continuation of the exhibition “Terra Mediterranea”.
After her residency in Leipzig, in Wrocław Rojek prepared the exhibition “Meerschmerz – partly shared. Echo of the Opera” together with fringe events at the BWA Studio from 3.02 to 18.03.2017.
