Maciej Bujko is the program director of TIFF Festival, curator and cultural manager. He graduated photographic department at Institut of Creative Photography in Opava and Polish National Filmschool in Łodź where he’s currently working on his PhD. In 2010 he was one of co-founders of TIFF Collective and TIFF Festival. Since 2017 he’s participating in creation of TIFF Center. Nowadays he focuses on developing of photographic life in Wrocław (in broader frameworks of contemporary art) and dreams about further development of TIFF. Beside of professional work, together with his friends he’s looking for a plot in Sudety mountains and planning to build a cabin with his own hands.
Bujko’s study visit in Japan will be mostly dedicated to strengthening the already existing partnerships between TIFF Collective and Japanese artists and curators but also to create new ones, which might result in new exchanges, residencies and cooperation within the framework of both TIFF Festival and TIFF Center.
