Martyna Komorowska is a young architect, currently working in the Netherlands. She graduated in Architecture from Wrocław University of Technology, also studied at Berner Fachhochschule (Switzerland) and Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain). She has gained experience in various studios in Europe, including Atelier Werner Schmidt – one of the main figures in ecological architecture. For her master thesis, concerning space division and its influence on patterns of using a building in a centre of creative activities designed by her, she was awarded the first prize in the competition “Dyplom Roku 2017” [Master Thesis of the Year 2017] organised by SARP Wrocław [Polish Architects Association Wrocław]. She is especially interested in the social aspect of architecture.
During her residency in Birżebuġa, Martyna will not only participate in the international workshops entitle “DESIGN 4 THE CITY” but she will also have a chance to create an interactive installation in the public space.
